I really tried to give this a fair shot, especially since it was free. But it was so poorly written, the dialogue so stilted, it was just so hard to read. Perhaps it gets better the further you get into it--but I found it too irritating to continue. The female lead, Tessa wasn't written so bad--but the male lead, Drake was definitely drab and one-dimensional.

It's a book about 3 Morgan brothers. The oldest who has hated humans since one killed their parents, makes a forage into town for supplies and accidentally comes across a woman who is destined to be his mate. She is hiding out from her abusive ex husband. Sparks fly!

Truly enjoyed this book, a bit of humor, some sad parts that in the real world situation can happen, unfortunately. Both Drake Morgan bear shifter and Tess Ward have both confront their pasts and way of thinking for the mating season.
