Bones, a member of the Heartbreakers MC, heads to the biker bar to get a drink and ends up saving Lauren when he sees her being mistreated. Loved how protective Bones was over Lauren. I like that we not only get to read about how Lauren and Bones meet but we get to read about them years later. This is an action packed story filled with suspense, secrets, characters with great chemistry, steam, unexpected twists and a fantastic ending.

Lauren is a woman with secrets and a painful past. She knows she is safer if she lives in solitude but sometimes she just needs the company of other which is how she ends up at a biker bar. When her drink is drugged, she knows that she should be nervous about the burly biker who stepped in to her rescue but for some reason he makes her feel safe. Bones is a member of the Heartbreakers MC who only wanted a drink but couldn’t stand by and watch a woman being mistreated. Once he handles the perpetrator and meets Lauren he is intrigued and wants to know all her secrets. This story takes you on a wild adventure filled with suspense, twists and hot chemistry.

This story is pretty good, the suspense was there. With each page turned you were wondering who was going to show up. There is some action, it's a motorcycle club so you will get some action. You got rough and raw sex, it was fun. It was fun getting to know Lauren and Bones. In my opinion they were like ying and yang. I loved how Bones was willing to do anything to save Lauren and the extent he went to. I liked how Alexis Abbott took a story from the headlines and made it her own. The subject is pretty dark. Let just say I love Alexis Abbott and her books but this story fell short for me. There were many unanswered questions. I'm not going to put the questions in the review, because in my opinion it would give things away. Alexis Abbott usually does a good job of answering all questions and wrapping things up. In my opinion this story fell short of that. I still enjoyed the story and we had an appearance from Breaker and Kate. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
