About this ebook

I gave everything to my job.

Untiring hard work. Dedication unmatched by anything else.

My entire life revolved around my career.

Despite all that, I didn’t get the promotion I was hoping for.

I got the boot.

They say the best revenge is a life well-lived, and I’m determined to show them by landing on my feet.

The last place I ever expected to land was in the small town of Billingsley, Texas.

I long ago vowed never to return to the memories it holds of the worst one-night stand ever.

Unfortunately, skipping your best friend’s wedding is not an option.

Neither is avoiding Billy, the one man who managed to turn my world upside down in a single evening.

The man I’ve been burying myself in work to stop thinking about.

But all I have is time now. And he’s not as easy to run from as I thought...

There are four stand-alone books in the Billingsley series:

♥Redeeming Lottie - Tucker & Lottie

♥Chasing Hannah - Billy & Hannah

♥Taming Wes - Wes & Devin

♥Tempting Tim - Tim & Conley

Ah, Hannah and Billy. I just loved these two, and they make a great couple. Of course, there are a few hoops to jump through, but darned if it isn't a blast getting there. This is the second in Melissa Ellen's Billingsley series, and it's just as full of feels, laughs, and terrific characters as the first. If you've read Redeeming Lottie, then, like me, you've met this couple - not as a couple, but still, we've met. I'll admit that I was kind of rooting for Hannah to get another great character from book one, but I wasn't too disappointed. Hannah and Billy work really well together. The book is a pretty quick listen, and the story kept me listening straight through, so it's safe to say that it held my interest. I'm quickly learning that Melissa Ellen knows how to pick 'em when it comes to narrators because Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross do a terrific job of giving voice to Hannah and Billy. This is my first time listening to Sarah Puckett, and I'm impressed with how well she does what she does. Of course, if you listen to romance and haven't enjoyed Wen Ross, you certainly need to. He's as good here as I expected, and he's helped make Billy a favorite character for me. All in all, Chasing Hannah is a solid addition to the Billingsley series, and I can't wait to dive into Melissa Ellen's next small-town romance.

Chasing Hannah by Melissa Ellen is a small town second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Wen Ross. This is the second book in the Billingsley series and can be read as stand-alone. This is the first book of Melissa's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Hannah and Billy. I enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life. Sarah and Wen did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves small town romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romance. Audiobook Obsession Reviewer The Flock Team

Billy met Hannah when she came to town to visit her friend, Lottie. There was an instant attraction between them and they ended up spending the night together. Then humiliation struck when Hannah misspoke he next morning which made him left in a flurry. They met up again at Lottie and Tucker's wedding and all the feelings they had for each other rushed to the forefront again. But with both of them humiliated by how things ended they tried avoiding each other even though they were drawn together, not helped by the fact that both of them assumed the other was with someone else. And also Billy knew that she would be leaving town again for her life in the city. But Hannah lost her job just before the wedding which gave her the opportunity to help out Lottie in her shop while they went on honeymoon. Will this be their chance and will they be brave enough to take it? And will they er able to let go of each other when the time comes for Hannah to go back to her new job and city life? I just love this series and the characters. This author has a special way with words which keeps you hooked from start to finish, there is so much emotion but also humour which makes for an excellent read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

I'm the author of The Blackwood Series. I grew up as a book worm, reading anything and everything and still try to read at least a book a week. I've always had an active imagination. Luckily, I now have time to put it to good use into stories that are constantly swarming around in my head.

When I'm not writing, you can find me working on architecture projects, buried in a book with a cup of tea, playing with my adorable son, laughing with my husband, or tackling my latest DIY project.
