About this ebook

Layla Robinson is not crazy. She is suffering from unrequited love. But it's time to move on. No more stalking, no more obsessive calling.

What she needs is a distraction. The blue-eyed guy she keeps seeing around campus could be a great one--only he is the new poetry professor--the married poetry professor.

Thomas Abrams is a stereotypical artist--rude, arrogant, and broody--but his glares and taunts don't scare Layla. She might be bad at poetry, but she is good at reading between the lines. Beneath his prickly façade, Thomas is lonely, and Layla wants to know why. Obsessively.

Sometimes you do get what you want. Sometimes you end up in the storage room of a bar with your professor and you kiss him. Sometimes he kisses you back like the world is ending and he will never get to kiss you again. He kisses you until you forget the years of unrequited love; you forget all the rules, and you dare to reach for something that is not yours.

New Adult Romance, Contemporary Romance, Student-teacher Romance, Forbidden Romance, Age-gap Romance, Angsty Romance, College Romance.

This is a love story but it is not pretty matter of fact the love between Layla and Thomas hurts more than it feels good. Two broken, angered, lonely souls come together and make heartache and love. This was a story that was an emotional rollercoaster. It is the type of story that no review will do it justice. It is the type of story that needs to be read and savored by going in blind.

My first read by Saffron Kent and I was blown away! The Unrequited is a forbidden love story. One you don't want to happen but hope it does because no matter how much Layla and Thomas fight it their chemistry is on fire and I loved every bit of it! "I...feel like you could eat me alive with your mouth and I've never felt that before. I've never been anyone's sustenance, and I want to keep going forever." <3

This was my first book I ever read from Saffron A Kent and OMG! First of all, I am beyond glad to discover an author like SAK. She is amazingly talented and always produces a beautiful story. Now lets get to The Unrequited. This book was phenomenal! It is one of my favorite books and is always my go to when I need to reread. I love how the relationship between Layla and Thomas isn’t conventional but for them it works. This book will make you feel raw and exposed. I think that is what I like most about Saffron books. It is never a cookie cutter happy ending but a happy ending in itself. If there is ever a book I would recommend it would be The Unrequited.
