I'm rating this book 3 stars because I like the concept. There story is extremely slow the author uses a lot of fillers which makes the book longer. Though Tess is a woman, Wolf shifter Cole had chosen way before he found out he was a wolf, I felt absolutely no chemistry between the two. This book has drama and mystery but absolutely no fire. So I was very disappointed.

League of Gallize Shifters Book One. Tess Janver has been working with the SCIS in the hopes of learning as much as possible about shifters after the death of her mother. Cole Cavanaugh found out he was an elite kind of shifter just after making the decision to spend the rest of his life with her. Now that they are on opposite sides of the shifter issue, Cole is caught by SCIS after his mortal enemies set him up. Tess believes the man in the infirmary is in league with the Black River pack of shifters, responsible for countless violent attacks. With the odds stacked against them, Tess and Cole have to work their way through their misinformation and hurt to find each other again. If you're looking for a new series of shifters and the women who make them whole, this is the book for you! Audio Review: Stephen R Thorne is a great addition to this series. He narrates the way you tell a story - with appropriate inflections, but he does not play-act the story.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. Not only is it a new book by Dianna Love, but it is the first book in a brand new series from her. My anticipation had been building for months, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I now have anticipation building for the next book in the series. This world is full of power and violence, but also loyalty and love. I really enjoyed the magic and Love's twist on the shifter lore. It was very interesting, and mysterious, especially with all of the different enemies. Tess and Cole were perfect for each other, but things just never seemed to go right for them. If I am reading a book with a complex story, intense action, and really hot romance, I want it to be by Dianna Love, because she always gets it right.
